okay well this is suddenly the Most Important Thing™

additionally, please consider: DAMEN AND LAURENT ON CUPCAKE WARS!!!!!

• after the first round laurent walks up to stand before the judges and damen is standing in the back thinking “please be good…please behave…” and after one of the judges informs laurent that the frosting was just a bit too sweet, damen audibly groans because he just knows it’s coming before laurent even begins…“with all due respect, sir…”
  
• the judges think they can criticize his frosting?!? HIS frosting?!?!
• damen has to remind him that that is the point of the entire competition like twenty times. yes yes laurent I understand these trained professionals don’t know what they’re talking about…I know…but…
• round two and laurent is busy whipping up a blueberry compote filling to put in their lemon cupcakes when he looks up and sees damen at another station, a delighted expression on his face as he talks to the other contestants, complimenting them on their work, and laurent sighs so exasperatedly he thinks he probably cooled everyone’s cupcakes within a five mile radius
• “what do you think you’re doing?!?! we are not here to make friends, damianos >:(” damen’s just like, “but they had really nice decorations laurent!!! D: they were really good!!!!” laurent loses precious time because he has to spend five minutes massaging his temples
• they win mostly as a result of the fact that everyone else is so terrified of laurent that their hands are shaking for the entirety of the competition; their fondant hearts end up lopsided, their frosting off balance, etc.
• anonymous contestant #3: “that scary little blonde dude with the unnervingly good posture?!? not human. I passed him while he was holding a whisk and it was the most afraid I’ve ever been. I’m just happy to be alive, really.”
